Electronic Art’s latest entry to the FIFA series, FIFA 12, is bringing the video game version of this popular sport to the PS Vita to allow for a gaming experience no other version of FIFA can offer. With a combination of innovative touch screen controls, stunning visuals and full-featured online game play modes, you can enjoy a higher level of competition and realism with the help of the PS VITA.

The First Next-Generation Handheld FIFA Game

With the raw power that the PS Vita provides, EA was able to bring the next generation FIFA engine that users enjoyed on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to the PS Vita. This provides true-to-life clarity, smooth game play, fast frame rates and the artificial intelligence for which Electronic Arts is famous. When playing FIFA 12 on the PS Vita, you will sacrifice none of the functionality and detail of the console version. In fact, with the PS Vita’s innovative touch screen controls, you might find that you prefer to play on your handheld.

Offensive Controls

When on offense, the front and rear touch screens on the PS Vita can be used for precision passing and shooting on goal. Simply tap a player on the front touch screen to pass the ball. If you have a clear shot on goal, utilizing the precision shooting options on the rear touch pad makes shooting a snap. Think of the rear touch screen as the goal. When you have a shot lined up, just tap the rear touch screen in the area in which you would like to kick the ball.

Defensive Controls

When on defense, you can now tap the front touch screen to select the player you wish to control. This allows you to quickly switch between players as the ball progresses down the field. You no longer have to worry about the frustration of auto selection choosing the wrong player or scrolling through every player with manual selection options. If you see an opportunity, just tap the screen and make your play.
Standing Shots

For open shots, such as penalty kicks, the touch screen provides a method of shooting with pinpoint accuracy. By swiping path from the ball to the goal, you can set the power, angle and spin of your kick in one fluid motion. This is truly immersive, interactive gaming at its finest.
